If you are arriving by airplane in one of those cities, you can get to Kingston by car, bus or Via Rail (See below for details).
By Ground from Toronto: Coach Canada operates bus connections between Toronto "Pearson" Airport and Kingston and also from Toronto downtown (Bay/Dundas bus terminal) to Kingston. The train, operated by Via Rail, leaves from downtown Toronto (8 departures on weekdays, 5 daily on Saturday/Sunday) and not from the airport.
By Ground from Montréal: Via Rail operates a train service from Montréal "Trudeau" airport and from downtown.
By Ground from Ottawa or Syracuse, NY: There is no direct service to Kingston by ground or air from Ottawa or Syracuse airports except by rental car (2 h exactly from either airport to Kingston). Greyhound offers a bus service from downtown Ottawa, operated by Voyageur Coach Lines, which runs 3 times daily (only twice on Saturdays).
By car: Get onto Hwy 401 (from Ottawa, take Hwy 416 south to 401 westbound; from Syracuse take Hwy 81 north to Hwy 401westbound; from Montréal take Hwy 20 west to Hwy 401 westbound, from Toronto take Hwy 401 eastbound). Then take exit 615 to Sir John A MacDonald Blvd (which is southbound). About 3 km later, turn left onto Union Street, which will take you to Queen's University main campus. Turn right at Albert and left at Stuart St. That will you to the visitors parking lot (marked with a P on the campus map). Click here for a detailed map of the campus.
