January 11, 2004: A visit to the Eiffel Tower

January 14, 2004: Irene's new school

January 15, 2004: The Gymnastics Club

-- The "Gym Paris 15" gymnastics club The closest competitive gymnastics club, only 22 metro stops from home!

January 17, 2004: The Louvre

-- A Louvre painting. Anyone know what it is? Email me if you do because I didn't make a note of it.
-- ditto The paintings have a reflective covering so that flash photos straight on just result in a glare in the photo. Pictures at an angle seem to work.
-- Mona Lisa (!!) from the left
-- Mona Lisa from the right. When you're there, you're certain her eyes follow you. Examining the photo afterwards doesn't leave this impression. Must be psychological, like the moon illusion.
